Gunesekera, Bhadra

Bhadra Gunesekera, age 59, of Blacksburg, VA died Monday, February 15, 2016. She was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and is both an alumni and employee of Virginia Tech. She was married to the late Chrysantha Gunesekera and the oldest sister of Imaran, Kushi and Chandi.

She is survived by her daughter, Minoka Gunesekera. She was a regular attendee of the lively arts programs at Virginia Tech, an avid gardener and had a passion for learning. Her optimism and love will not soon be forgotten.

A visitation will take place Thursday, February 25 from 5-7pm at Blacksburg united Methodist Church. Then in order to arrange for international travel a funeral will take place on March 5th at 2 pm at Blacksburg UMC with a reception to follow.
