Guerra, Ruth Ellen Beach

Ruth Ellen Beach Guerra, 63, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in London, Ontario, Canada on December 28, 1946. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn I. Beach. She served as secretary/ administrator at Tried Stone Christian Center. Ruth was educated in Canada and India. She is survived by her husband, Pastor Vince Guerra; three children and their spouses, Jack and Gina Guerra, of Belleview, Fla., Jeanine Marie and Rick Sarge, of Radford, and Vince and Hope Guerra, of Mauldin, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Madeline, Sophia, Dominic, Kristen, Casey, Selah, Vincent Lake; her mother, Alice Van Gundy Beach, of Ontario, Canada; brother and sister-inlaw, Robert and Linda Beach, of Ontario, Canada; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhea and Bill Kaufield, of Ottawaw, Canada, and Lavonne and Ken Switzer, of Sekatchewan, Canada. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Wetview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, August 28, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
