Grubb, Jr., Walter Lee (Delbert)
Walter Lee Grubb Jr. (Delbert), 84, of Snowville, died, Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the New River Valley Medical Center, Radford. He was born on April 15, 1930, and was the son of the late Walter Lee Grubb, Sr. and Lura Grubb. He was also preceded in death by a son, Phillip Grubb.
Surviving are his wife, Annie C. Grubb, of Snowville; children and spouses, Norma and Joe Lester, Floyd, Arlene and Dwayne Simpkins, Snowville, Brenda and Richard Mitchell, Snowville, and Paul and Lisa Grubb, Dublin. Granchildren and spouses, Michael and Grace Sarver, Snowville, Kayla and Josh Henley, Snowville, Seth and Jessie Mitchell, Pulaski, Jason Grubb, Dublin, Angie Grubb, Dublin, and Brittany Sarver, Snowville. Great-Grandchildren, Mason, Faith, Mary, Audrey and Benjamin; brothers and sisters and spouses, Treva Bugg, Radford, Helen Flinchum, Radford, Bobby and Judy Grubb, Snowville, Juanita and Henry Hall, Indian Valley, Geneva and J.C. Phillips, Radford, and Jearline Simpkins, Radford.
Our Dad worked hard and loved to grow things. He sold at Pulaski Farmers Market and made many friends there. We would like to thank the people who work at DaVita Dialysis, Radford, Riner Rescue Squad and special friends, Barbara and Sterlings Quesenberry of Snowville.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, from Steven’s Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Jimmy Sasser officicating. Burial will follow in the Flinchum-Montgomery Cemetery, Snowville. Visiting will be Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
