Grubb, Irene

Irene Grubb, 96, of Blacksburg, passed away on September 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grubb.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Frances (Jim) August, Wanda Semones, Boyd Grubb, and Jerry (Freda) Grubb. There are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Irene’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the care given to their mother by Commonwealth Assisted Living. Also, a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their assistance.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tucker Laforce officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, Va.
