grubb_emma_mozelleEmma Mozelle (Wilson) Grubb, 85, of Pulaski, Va., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2011, at Warm Hearth Health Center, Blacksburg, Va. where she received loving care for the past five years following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Snowville, Va. on January 19, 1926, Mozelle was the daughter of the late Drayton Wilson and Emma Vaughan Wilson Hall. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Murrell Wilson; and sisters, Mary Wilson and Doris Farmer, all of Pulaski. Surviving are loving husband of 62 Years, Ralph D. Grubb, Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Debbie Grubb, Pulaski; grandson, Bradley Grubb, Charlottesville, Va.; several nieces and nephews. A graduate of Christiansburg High School, she moved to Pulaski and began working for the Virginia Employment Commission, where she met her future husband, Ralph, thus making Pulaski their home. A faithful charter member of Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski she loved her church, gardening, birds and family. Mozelle worked as a deputy clerk in the Pulaski County Commissioner of Revenue office for over 25 years. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2011, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. with the Pastor David Lones officiating.
