Grissom, Mary Rose

Mary Pauline Grissom, 83 of Blacksburg, VA departed this life July 6, 2022 in her home. Born October 25, 2022 in Montgomery County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Robert Rose and Bessie Weis Rose.

Mary worked in housekeeping for many years. She also enjoyed time spent with her family, and tending to her gardens and flowers.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Clinton “Sonny” Grissom; great-grandson, Alden Preston Huffman; and brother, Carl Rose.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Johnny Grissom of Christiansburg, VA, Buddy Grissom of Blacksburg, VA, Danny Grissom of Blacksburg, VA, Becky Huffman (Robbie) of Newport, and Debbie Keen of Swords Creek; 17 grandchildren; many great- grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; a brother, Sidney Rose of Tampa, FL; and sisters, Rachael Dickerson of Montvale, VA, and Kathleen Brewer of Montvale, VA.
