Roger Wayne Griffith, 67, of Radford, left this world way too early on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born on July 28, 1950 to the late Walter Greene and Macie Griffith.

He leaves behind his wife of forty-four years, Barbara Ann Griffith; his two sons, Travis Ray and Todd Ryan Griffith; two cherished grandsons, Cody Todd and Caleb Daniel Griffith; his two brothers, Timmy and William “Billy” Griffith; his sister, Fern Griffith Martin; his nephews, Tyler, Adam, and Joey; and his niece, Jessica.

Known as “Griff” to many, Roger loved his time spent in the woods hunting, on the river fishing, sitting on the back porch, and watching the birds and other creatures that shared his domain. He was an avid gardener and loved sharing his abundance with neighbors – often leaving them on a fence post for them to find. He was an amazing father, husband, brother, son, grandfather, and uncle. Roger taught something to everyone he was around. He was something special. He cherished life and everyone that was around him. There is not one person he would not have helped. Roger is truly a huge loss to this world and to everyone who ever met him. He is greatly loved and missed by all and will never be forgotten.

The Griffith Family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kind words, care, compassion, help, and understanding during the difficult time.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin where full Military Rites will be rendered.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the favorite charity of your choice.
