Greer III, Joseph Walter

Joseph Walter Greer III, 58, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009. Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph W. and Lola Greer II ; sister, Connie Greer; and brother, Bobby Greer. He is survived by a son, Joseph L. Greer, Draper; wife, Kathleen A. Goldbeck (Greer), Christiansburg; grandchildren, Kaylee Elizabeth Greer and Stone Bradley Greer; aunt and uncles, Sam and Jeannet Callahan, Limestone, Tenn., and Charles Callahan, Washington D.C.; sisters, Debra and Cathryn, Tennessee; brother, Charles Greer, Tennessee; and many friends and co-workers at the New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home. A visitation will be held 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Horne Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Ted Farmer officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
