Greene, Roy Maynard

Roy Maynard Greene, 65, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. He was born on June 24, 1943.

He was preceded in death by daughters, Noami Kaye Greene and Baby Sissy; father, Ernest Greene; mother, Dessie Dickerson; and brother, Harold Greene.

Survivors include his daughters, Norma Jean Hale and Jeff Morris, and Kathy Hale and husband, Amos Hale ; grandson, Timothy Lee Hale “Timmy;” granddaughters, Danielle Renee Morris, Amanda Dawn Hale, Heather Lynn Morris and Samantha Ann Hale; two brothers; one sister; and special friend, Claudine Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, August 22, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday. Interment will be at Monte Vista Cemetery in Callaway, Va. Arrangements by Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
