Green, Vivian Cecil

Vivian Cecil Green, age 83, of Rich Creek, VA passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Skyline Nursing and Rehab Center in Floyd, VA. Born February 10, 1930 at Kimbleton, VA he was the son of the late Leslie William and Alice Fields Green. Cecil had retired from the N&W Railroad and from the Giles County Board of Education as a Custodian and Bus Driver of Narrows High School.

He was also the long-time owner/operator of Greens Cab Service in Rich Creek, VA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Marie Price Green, one son, Russell McClure Green, fifteen brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Mark Green and wife Pauline of Rich Creek, VA and Jeff Green and wife Estelle of Pearisburg, VA, Kathy Green McClaughterty of Rich Creek, VA and Linda Green Carr and husband Eddie of Pearisburg, VA, one brother, Leslie Green of Blacksburg, VA, one sister, Ann Breeden of Pembroke, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rich Creek, VA with Pastor Tony Parcell officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV.
