Kay Green, 89, of Fort Payne, Ala., formerly of Blacksburg, died February 4, 2007 at Blue Ridge Health Care in Blue Ridge, Ga.

Born in Burlington, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Lombard and Alice Wool. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, a loving mother and wife. Her husband, George G. Green, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teena and Michael Long of Morganton, Ga.; sister, Alice Bowden of Lancaster, Mass.; sister, Marian Kierstead of Apopka, Fla.

A memorial service was held at the Rainsville Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rainsville, Ala., on February 24, 2007 at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Department of Animal and Plutry Science, Attn: Dr. Dan Eversole, Va. Tech, Blacksburg, Va., 24061-0306.
