Green, Betty Price

Betty Price Green, 74, of Rich Creek, Va., departed this life to be with the Lord early Friday morning, March 9, 2007, in the loving care of her family at her home in Rich Creek, Va.

Born December 22 , 1932 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Minnie Lawson Price, and the foster daughter of the late Eli and Nannie Warden. In addition to her parents and foster parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Russell Green and one brother, Cooledge Price.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 57 years, Vivian Cecil Green of Rich Creek; four children, Kathy Green McClaugherty of Rich Creek, Linda Carr and husband Eddie of Salisbury, N.C., Mark Green and wife Shirley of Midway, Va., Jeff Green and wife Estella of Pearisburg, Va.; one brother, Fredrick Price of Arizona; one foster sister, Mary Douglas McCroskey of Pearisburg, Va.; six wonderful grandchildren, and eight beautiful great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Sunday March 11, 2007 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Rich Creek, Va., with the Rev. Allen Bouldin officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday March 10, 2007 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy can be made to Carilion Hospice Services, Radford, Va.
