Gray, Harold Lewis

Harold Lewis Gray, 79, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born May 15, 1937, to the late Harvey and Gladys Gray. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Arlene Hudgins, Bruce Gray, Crockett Gray, and Joe Gray.

He was a proud Blacksburg Indian, Ferrum Panther, and Virginia Tech Hokie. He was a member of the Virginia National Guard. He was a dedicated employee to Poly Scientific. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Hokies, where he was a regular at all events. His life was full of many friends, and he never met a stranger.

Surviving are his loving daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Kent Jimenez; siblings, Curtis and wife, Peggy Gray, Martha Wikstrom, and Nancy Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews; and very dear friends, Terry Bolt and Rayburn Vandergriff.

A Graveside Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Westview Cemetery with Scott Obenchain officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W. Blacksburg.
