Gray, Fred Lee

Fred Lee Gray, of Blacksburg, went to he with the Lord just 8 days prior to his 90th birthday. He was born in Clintwood, Va. on January 24, 1917. He was a graduate of Roanoke College and was retired as a Land Appraiser with the Federal Highway Administration. He was also proud to be a Baptist and a Democrat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Garnett and Katie Lee Quillen Gray; and a brother, Jim D. Gray. Surviving are nieces, Katheryn Gray, Boise, Idaho and Judy Gray Hagee, Salem; great-niece, Talmadge D’Ascenzo and husband, Robert; great-great-nephews, James and Robert; great-greatniece, Alexandra; also several cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
