garden-of-promiseSteven Wayne Gravley, 53, of 260 Bentley Hollow Road, Pulaski, Va., died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in his sister’s care and loving home. He was born August 28, 1960 and was the son of the late Lacey E. Gravley and Betty Goad Gravley Hall. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Lacey E. Gravley Jr. He was a skilled carpenter and craftsman who helped everyone in his family and neighborhood with a project at one time or another. He worked with his beloved friend, Barry Sheppard, for over 20 years. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Lazaro Hernandez and Beckie and Josiah Clark; mother, Betty G. Hall; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Tony Padgett; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Robin Gravley and Jeffery and Tina Brookman; five grandchildren, Diego, Brookelyn, Adan, Adriana, Jax; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; more gracious and loving friends than one can count– no one closer than his best friend, Junior Kemp. Thank you all for your love and support. He promised to meet us at “The Pearly Gates”. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a graveside service Wednesday at 11 a.m.from the Oakwood cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, VA.
