gravley_oleta_aldermanOleta Alderman Gravley, 78, of Draper, Va., one of God’s precious angles was called home Monday, March 29, 2010. Her smiling face now brightens up the heavens celebrating Jesus’ resurrection. Born in Carroll county June 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Huldah McGrady Alderman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ora Calvin Gravley and a grandson, Johnathan Douglas Spence. She was a member of the Draper’s Valley Presbyterian Church and worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart for the last 18 years. Oleta was the blessed mother of Linda Tate, of Max Meadows, Deborah Spence, of Draper, Garnett Michael and Betty Alderman, of Cherryfield, Maine, Wayne C Gravley, of Draper and Bobby and Diane Gravley, of Dublin.; grandchildren, Gary Froehler, of Colorado Springs, Annastasia Alderman, of Maine, Michele Alderman, of Harrington, Maine, Leslie T. Anderson, Derek L. Tate, Ashlyn N Spence, all of Draper, Cari G. Vest, of Christiansburg, Christi G. Eades, of Pulaski and Courtney L. Gravley, of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Aurora B. and Nikki C Anderson, of Draper, Matthew T. Tate, of Max Meadows, Carlie I. Burton, of Missouri, Addison L. Vest, of Christiansburg, Austin and Alexis Eades, of Pulaski; great-greatgranddaughter, Trinity Faith Williams, of Draper. Oleta was a special mother to Tommy Tate, of Draper. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 7 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roland Mathews officiating. Visiting will be from 5:30 p.m. till the service hour. Burial will follow in the Five Forks Cemetery, Carroll County at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010. The Family wishes memorials be sent to the cure of breast cancer in care of ” Susan G.
