Gravely, Opel Elizabeth

Opel Elizabeth Gravely, 79, of Dublin, Va., died on Monday, November 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Prince and Gladys Hamilton; sister, Edith H. Mills; and brothers, Huston, Jason, and Clifford Hamilton. She is survived by a son and special daughter-in-law, Grover and Donna Gravely; two sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas Gravely, and Robert and Blanche Gravely; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Ann and Bill Hawkins; sister, Nancy Young; brother, Grover Hamilton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Devilbiss Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Sifford Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice Services for the love and support they gave. Opel cared for the sick and elderly most of her life.
