Graham, Mildred Spangler

Mildred Spangler Graham, formerly of Christiansburg and Smith Mountain Lake, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1920 to the late Elder D.V. Spangler and Nannie Turpin Spangler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Graham; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Ed Hodnett.

She graduated from East Carolina University and worked with her husband in business, she was a faithful member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Richard Graham and wife, Mary Ann of Blacksburg; daughter, Sandra Zuersher and husband, Ron of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Rebecca Smith of Sarasota, Fla.; brother, David Spangler of Danville; grandsons, Scott Graham of Charlotte, N.C.; Keith Harrison (Joni) of Tampa, Fla.; Russell Harrison of Tampa, Fla.; and several special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church at 8684 NC Highway 700, Ruffin, NC, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 3 p.m. with Elder Jerry Farmer and Elder Thomas Solomon officiating. The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
