She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth William Gordon; her two sons, Kenneth William Gordon Jr. and Freddie Evans Gordon; and her grandson, Mark Edwin Gordon. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Young; and two brothers, Basil and Burley Quesenberry. She is survived by her three daughters, Ruby Jane Gordon, of Indian Valley, Va., Connie Sue Quesenberry, of Indian Valley, Va., and Loretta Lynn Phillips, of Christiansburg, Va.; grandchildren, Alisa Knapp, of Indian Valley, Va., Jennifer and Dale Smith, of Christiansburg, Va., Jason and April Phillips, of Christiansburg, Va., and Jody Mills, of Blacksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Cody Smith, Cory Knapp, Austin and Riley Mills, Chloe and Ethan Phillips; sister-in-law, Fugie Quesenberry, of Roanoke, Va.; two special friends, Gary Linkous “Gomer” and Bo Hylton; and special niece, Lisa Epperly “Green Cakes.” She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. “You will always be in our hearts. We will remember you every spring as the flowers bloom and for your love of working in your yard.” Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the funeral home.
