Gordon, Carroll Clark

Carroll Clark Gordon, 68, of the Bear Springs community, Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012, at his home surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on January 27, 1944 in Mt. View, the son of the late Charles Chester and Lura Estel Anderson Gordon. He was a member of Bear Springs United Methodist Church, and the Eggleston Masonic Lodge #309. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis P. Gordon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Cynthia Gordon, Pearisburg; Timothy and Kristi Gordon, Pearisburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leaetta and Bucky Burton, Pearisburg; Dee Dee and Mike O’Brien, Pearisburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles B. and Phyllis Gordon, Pearisburg; one sister, Frances Stanley, Dublin; 10 grandchildren, Katlyn Burton, Chris Anderson, Candace Gordon, Logan O’Brien, Brooke O’Brien, Kayleigh Gordon, Keegan Gordon, Carson Gordon, Levi Gordon, Liam Gordon. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Bear Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Watson and Pastor Greg Cox officiating. Masonic graveside rites by Eggleston Masonic Lodge #309 in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate and at the church Sunday one hour prior to services.
