Anna Pauline Blankenship Gordon, 91, of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rich Creek after a long battle with numerous health problems. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on February 18, 1921, and was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Young Blankenship. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gordon Sr.; three daughters, Patricia Lynn, Teressa Fame, and Barbara Ann; one sister, Clair Tiller; and two brothers, Steve and William Blankenship. She is survived by her son and his wife, Tommy and Evelyn Gordon, of Narrows; a grandson, W.T. and Cathy Gordon, of Narrows; a granddaughter, Angela Gordon, of Roanoke; two great grandchildren, Brent Gordon, of Fredericksburg and Kerri Lynn Gordon, of Narrows; two sisters, Lillian Mann and husband, Jerry, of Rich Creek and Mary Moore, of New Hampshire; a brother, James Blankenship, of Bozoo, W.Va.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 12:15 p.m. until just prior to the service.
