Goodwin, Mary Arabelle

Mary Arabelle Goodwin, 81, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born January 4, 1942 to the late Ernest and Hazel Sanders Hilton. Mary is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Goodwin; son, Mickey Goodwin; and daughter; Angela Thornton.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lynwood Goodwin; grandson, David Thornton; great granddaughter, Makayla Thornton; great grandson, Jack Thornton all of Christiansburg; brothers, Ernest Leroy Hilton and James Cortland Hilton of Danville; sister, Ruth Carbaugh of Narrows; aunts, Birdie Cumbee, Naomi Merrix, and Beaula Sanders all of Giles County; her nieces and nephews; and, her beloved dog “Booboo”.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Interment will be Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
