Goodman, Doris Davis (Stubby)

Doris Davis Goodman (Stubby), age 67 of Dublin, a devoted wife, mother and beloved Grammy passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015.

She was born May 22, 1948 and was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Melvin Goodman; parents, John A. Davis, Sr. and Virginia Alma Davis; brothers, Roy M. Davis and John A. Davis, Jr. and sister, Janice Lee Prescott.

Doris owned and operated Goodman’s Accounting and Tax Service in Dublin for 35 years. She was a devoted Christian who embraced God’s word, and was a friend and mentor to all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron R. Goodman of Dublin, her son and his wife, Michael and Michelle Goodman of Dublin, one grandchild, Ellis Goodman, two step grandchildren, Ethan Brown and Emily Altizer, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m., November 9, 2015 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Michael Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
