Goodman, Anna Lee Marshall
Anna Lee Marshall Goodman, 92, of old Route 11, Dublin, Va., passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at the home. Born July 10, 1916, in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Lee Marshall and Nancy Mae Addison Marshall. She was also preceded by her husband of 67 years, the Rev. Charlie Hugh Goodman; one daughter, Nancy Lee Goodman; one son, Ellis Melvin Goodman; four brothers, Robert, James, Thomas and Kelly Marshall; and two sisters; Virginia Lee and Inez Smith.
She was of apostolic faith. She was a devoted minister’s wife for 67 years.
Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Marie and Gene Keen, of Dublin, and Lois Kathleen and James Lukie Prescott, of Dublin; sons and daughters-in-law, James Edward and Edna Goodman, of Dublin, and Thomas Samuel “Sammy” and Lana Goodman, of Dublin; 12 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Doris D. Goodman, of Dublin.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Michael Collins and the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill’s Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va., at 3:30 p.m. where the family will receive friends prior to Committal Service in the Greenhill’s Mausoleum Chapel with the Bishop Dean Livingston officiating.
