Goode, Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen Goode, 71, of Radford, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Ellen was born on September 7, 1943 to the late William Bryant and Edith Moses Foster. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James D. Goode; and her sister, Norma Sue Foster.

She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Eunice) Foster and Jerry (Ann) Foster; her aunt, Frances M. Williams; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great-grand niece.

Ellen worked for over thirty years as a paralegal in Radford and the surrounding areas with numerous law firms. She was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church. The family would like to specially thank Radford Health and Rehab and Carilion Hospice for all their help, support and care.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, VA with funeral services to follow directly after with Reverend Bobby Lorton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn, VA.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
