goins_mildred_brookmanMildred Claudine Brookman Goins, age 88 of Pulaski passed away Sunday at the Highland Ridge Rehab & Nursing Center, Dublin. Born September 14, 1927 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Cora Dale Brookman.

Her husband, Joseph “Jack” Goins; Son; Jerry Wayne Goins, and two brothers, James and Carl Brookman also preceded her in death.

She worked at the Dalton and Pulaski Theatres, People’s Drug store and High’s Ice Cream. She loved to sing, and there wasn’t a song she didn’t know from hymns to country. She also loved big band music, Benny Goodman and Glen Miller. “Now I am singing in heaven”.

She is survived by her

Daughter & Son-in-law- Linda Irene & John Hamrick–Pulaski.

Three Grandsons- Michial Marshall & wife, Wendy-Allisonia, Jeffrey Marshall & wife, Paige-Fairlawn Logan Hamrick – Pulaski.

Step-Granddaughter- Annette Briggs-Hopewell,VA

Five Great Grandchildren- Two Great, Great Grandchildren-

Sister – Betty Robinson-Pulaski-

Special Niece- Jamie Brookman Reedy

Special Friends- Johnny Saunders & wife, Wanda- Pulaski, Geneva Moore – Pulaski & friends at Pulaski Village.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 7:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with cousin, Charlie Morris officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until service time at Bower Funeral Home.

Burial will be private at Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski
