Goggin, Hazel Owen

Hazel Owen Goggin, age 97 of Pulaski, died Tuesday April 10, 2012 at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blacksburg. She was born March 7, 1915 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Willie Jones Owen and Luther Bentley Owen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Chapline Goggin, a brother Roy Owen and a sister, Doris O. Caviness. She was a retired employee of Cato’s Department Store. She was the oldest living member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pulaski. She is survived by a daughter: Carol Goggin King of Pulaski: a loving and caring friend, Jim Daugherty of Pulaski, a nephew, T.W. Caviness, Jr. of Pulaski, a niece, Linda Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, and a brother-in-law, Thomas W. Caviness, Sr. Funeral services will be held Friday April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Winn officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
