Godwin, Marcia Silverman

Marcia Silverman Godwin, 59, of Floyd, Va. and formerly of Miami, Fla. and Old Orchard Beach, Maine, after a long, chronic illness passed over on Friday, October 26, 2007. She is now dancing with the Angels.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered “Come with Me.” A golden heart stopped beating and although our hearts were broken and are heavy laden, we know God knows best.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Joseph (Mack) Godwin; sister, Alice Dawson; niece, Julia Dawson; first cousin, Joyce Hamersmith; and stepdaughters, Michelle Wilson and Yvette Scott.

A memorial service will be held at White Rock Church of the Brethren in Floyd, Va. on Saturday, November 3 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 400, Kansas City, Mo. 64114-3367 would be appreciated.
