Goad, Tracie

Tracie Cardwell Goad, age 34 passed away Wednesday September 5, 2007 at her home in Radford, Virginia surrounded by her family. She was born on January 28, 1973 to Roger & Peggy Hayden Cardwell.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin & Gladys Cardwell and Leo & Cleo Hayden, one aunt, Sissy Sheets and an uncle, Roy Hayden. She was a 1991 graduate of Chilhowie High School and had received her associates degree in child development from the New River Valley Community College & had been employed at several child care centers and at Kroger. She attended Christiansburg Wesleyan Church.

Survivors Include: Her Loving Husband: Ron Goad, Radford Her Parents: Roger & Peggy Cardwell, Chilhowie One Brother: Joe Cardwell, Chilhowie Mother-in-Law: Claudine Goad, Radford, VA Brothers-in-Law & Sisters-in-Law: Bill Goad & wife Lou Ellen, Carroll, Co. Allen Goad, Radford Mike Goad, Radford Peggy Caldwell, Radford One Special Uncle: “Docie” Sheets, Several other loving Aunts & Uncles Her God Children: Whitney & Isaac Very Special friends: Althea, Mary, Shelly, Jennifer, Brian & Angie Jackson Many other special friends & acquaintances over the years Special Family Pets: Tipper & Boots.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 8, 2007 at the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Don Medley, Dr. David Hurd & Pastor Shirley Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery in Hillsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
