Nelles Heath Goad, 92 of Indian Valley, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. Preceded in death by his loving wife; Vivian Virginia Thompson Goad, son; Wayne Conley Goad, Grandchildren; Lane Quesenberry, Loretta Quesenberry Templeton, Brothers; Ray Goad, C.B. Goad, Jimmy Goad, Sisters; Doris Turman, Darlene Goad, Ida Lee Turman, son-in law; Avis Quesenberry and his parents Garver & Rosetta Phillips Goad.

Heath served as a Sergeant in the 242nd Rainbow Infantry during World War II.

He is survived by his sons & daughter-in-law; Harlan & Corrine Goad of Roanoke, Leonard Goad of Indian Valley, daughters & sons-in-law; Joyce Quesenberry of Indian Valley, Maybellene & Clinton Smythers of Hillsville, Linda & Frank Stanley of Bluefield, VA, daughter-in-law; Virginia Goad of Radford, 24 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren, sister; Ann Goad and Betty Conner.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Indian Valley Church of God with Rev. Joe Cox, Rev Kenneth Poston, Rev. David Goad & Rev. Leonard Goad Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Capt. George Quesenberry Cemetery, with Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854 and American Legion Post #127. Family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
