Louisa Thompson Goad, 77, of Aquasco, Md., passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born March 8, 1931, in Dugspur, Va., she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Gracie Sutphin Thompson.

Mrs. Goad moved to Prince George’s county in 1955, she and her late husband, William Colden Goad, owned and operated the Goad Lumber Mill in Aquasco, Md. Louisa enjoyed yard work, helping others as a care giver in their homes, blue grass music, flat footing music and being with her family.

Mrs. Goad is survived by her children, Tony Goad, (Terri), Ricky Goad, (Midgie) and Donna Wilkinson, (Eddie); sister, Bonnie Dickerson; grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Goad, Amber Guy, Ashley Ednie, Brent Goad, Sherri Tucker and Michael Wilkinson; and greatgrandchildren, Rylie and Brooke Guy and Ryan and Blake Tucker. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her siblings, Clinton Thompson, Kevie Stone, and Christine Webb.

Friends are invited to Louisa’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Md. 20622, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2009.

Funeral services in Floyd, Va., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Gardner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Buffalo Mountain Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on, Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
