Karen Denise Marshall Goad, 46, of Allisonia, Va., passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born October 26, 1961, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of Lee Roy Marshall and Evelyn Diane Jarrells Marshall. Her grandparents, Albert Early Jarrells and Minnie Ada McGlothlin Jarrells; and Stanley and Gracie Henley Marshall preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Hiwassee Church of the Brethren. She was an employee for the Volvo Truck Company, and she was a member of the Local UAW #2069 Women’s Committee.

Surviving are her sons, Stephen Lee Cronk of Allisonia, and Michael Aaron Goad of Riner, Va.; parents, Lee Roy and Evelyn Diane Jarrells Marshall of Allisonia; special aunts, Barbara Turman of Allisonia, Joan Fowler of Dublin, Rhonda Surface of Dublin, Judy Ann Quesenberry of Hillsville, Va., and Helen Brooks of Hillsville, Va.; great-aunt, Margaret McGlothlin Jarrells of Pulaski; and many cousins, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Granville Bishop, the Rev. Mike Hall, and the Rev. Edith Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
