Mary Lou Morgan Glossbrenner, 77, of Blacksburg died Sunday, August 6, 2006. She was born in St. Petersburg, Fla. on March 4, 1929 to the late Charles Emerson and Esther Steen Morgan.

She volunteered at Margaret Beeks Elementary School, teaching English as a second language. Several of her students have achieved positions using English that she taught them.

She is survived by her husband, E.W. (Jax) Glossbrenner, of Blacksburg, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Francis, Jr., of Christiansburg, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sue Glossbrenner, of Red Bank, N.J.; three grandchildren, Christopher Bryson, of Blacksburg, Va., Morgan Glossbrenner and Hayley Glossbrenner of Red Bank, N.J.; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Stewart Bolton, of Windsor, Conn.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles, Jr. and Beverly Morgan, of Middleburg, Va.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 7: 30 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Goodpasture officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street, NE, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
