Gills, Lillian Anderson

Lillian Anderson Gills of Pulaski, died April 17, 2006 when God sent his angels to lovingly carry his precious child to her heavenly home.

“Lillie”, as she was known by friends and family who loved her was born Nov. 13, 1919 to the late John C. and Kate Farmer Anderson. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Marion I. Gills, brothers George, Bernard, Glenn, James Anderson and son-in-law Jerry Andrews.

Survivors left to cherish her memory and to know that one day they will be reunited are her loving and faithful daughter, Dreama Andrews of Pulaski; granddaughter, Renee Andrews, Dublin; grandson and wife, Mark and Missy Andrews, Fincastle, Va.; three special great-grandchildren that knew and loved her as “Nanny” are: Shaunna Andrews, Dublin, Walker and Heath Andrews, Fincastle, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and William Shinault, Chardon, Ohio; brothers and sister-in-law, Everett and Margaret Anderson, Carl Anderson, Georgia Anderson, all of Pulaski; niece, Diane Thornton and family, all of Pulaski.

Due to earlier wishes of the deceased there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Thursday, April 20, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brenda Viars officiating.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Pulaski Daily Bread, P. O. Box 824, Pulaski, Va. 24301 or charity of one?s choice.
