Gillespie, Teresa Holt

Teresa Lynne Holt Gillespie, 54, of Copper Hill, passed away on Monday May 26, in her home.

Teresa received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from National Business College. She received many certifications, but she was most proud of her Mack certification; She used it for many years working on Mack diesel trucks and always felt like a mechanic at heart. She loved being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and granny spending as much time as possible with her grandkids. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three boys and making them self-sufficient.

She was preceded in life by her dad: Marshall Holt; grandparents: Muriel and Algier Holt, Clifford Davis, and Stella Clark; Grandsons: Dominique Holt; parents-in-law: Gene and Lilian Gillespie. She is survived by her loving husband: Ernie Gillespie; mother: Jo Anne Furrow; sons: Joshua Holt (Kris), Kasey Farmer, Ryan Jenkins, Bradley, Brandon and daughter Conner Gillespie; grandchildren: Mason, Lincoln, Bentley, and Novalynn; brothers and sisters: Richard Holt, Michael Holt, Amanda Brooks, and Janice Palmer (Shane). Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday June 5, 2025, at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Whitey Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 P.M until 5 P.M before the Celebration of Life.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Food Pantry.
