Gillenwater, Shannon T.

Shannon T. Gillenwater, 28, of Radford, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009. He was born July 27, 1981, in Montgomery County, Va. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Dickerson Gillenwater; his grandparents; and his special grandmother, Elsie Woodyard.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Don and Carolyn Gillenwater, of Radford, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Megan Gillenwater, of Christiansburg, Va.; a very special nephew whom he loved like his own son, Ayden Gillenwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor Porter Riner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
