Gill, Michael Peter

Michael Peter Gill, 65, of Blacksburg, died June 9, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He was born in Washington, D.C., on September 12, 1942, to the late Thomas Gerad and Mary Lindsay Gill. He was known for his smile and friendly disposition. He had a kind and generous spirit and made loyal friends everywhere he went.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Gill and Dean Alan Millhouse, of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Peter and Jennifer Duddy Gill, of Denver Colo., Thomas Gerad and Stacie S. Gill, of York, Pa., Matthew Carlos Gill and Boo Sophia Allison, of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Jacqueline Mary Stuchbery, of Shady Side, Md.; five grandchildren; and one on the way.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Father James Arsenault officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the local youth soccer organization, New River United Soccer Association (NRUSA) c/o Michael Gill Memorial, P.O. Box 10492, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening before the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
