Giles, Naomi Blanche Caldwell

Naomi Blanche Caldwell Giles, 86, of Parrott died, Saturday, April 8, 2006, at her home.

She was born in Whitethorne, Va. on January 8, 1920 to the late Charles William and Onie Wilson Albert Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Sterling Albert Giles, one son, Bobby Clarence Giles, and a grandson, Eddie Jimenez.

Blanche was a wonderful mother not only to her children, but also to brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and neighbors that did not have a home.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Horace Jimenez of Belsprings, Janet and Rodney Orender of Dublin, and Juanita Giles of Parrott; son and daughter-in-law, Allen Lewis and Barbara Giles of Christiansburg; twelve grandchildren, Daryel Giles, Diana Atkins, Pam Stump, Vickie Sifford, Larry Jimenez, Cynthia Martin, Amanda Haga, Russell Bane, Mary Mitchum, Valerie Hale, Keith Giles, and Robert Giles; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Eddie Dalton, Rev. Maude Cherry, Rev. Jube Burk and Rev. Everette Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Sifford Cemetery Parrott.

Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. Monday at the Parrott Church of God and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
