Gildersleeve, Glen David

Glen David Gildersleeve, 74, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. A native of Tulsa, Okla., Glen is survived by his wife, Deborah Britton Gildersleeve; his sons and daughter-in-law, Nathan Gildersleeve and Estrella Johnson of Blacksburg, and Noah Gildersleeve of Portland, Ore.; his two grandsons, Trin and Milo, also of Blacksburg; his brother and sister-in-law, Keith Gildersleeve and Lois Helms, of Winnsboro, S.C.; his sister, Jan Gildersleeve of California; several beloved nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Glen was a U.S. Marine Vet, Vietnam theatre, who later worked as a computer-architect in the U.S., Algeria, and Saudi Arabia. He was an inveterate traveler, a doting grandfather, and the patriarch of an adoring family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon, May 21, 2022 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the family home on Shadow Lake Road. There will be a Celebration of Life later this summer, as well.
