Gilbert, Eva Pryor

Eva Pryor Gilbert, 94, of Christiansburg, took Jesus’ hand and He led her home on April 29, 2014. Born to the late Lewis and Ethel Pryor on February 6, 1920 in Crowder, Oklahoma. She was met at the gates of heaven by her husband, Taulbee Gilbert; sons, James, Billy and Ernie Gilbert; daughter, Mary Miller; daughter-in-law, Alma Gilbert; and son-in-law, Gary Main.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Bud Pryor; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Gilbert, Roger and Becky Gilbert; daughters, Peggy Songer and Pat Main; daughter-in-law, Sharon Gilbert; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren. Eva will be sadly missed but her lively spirit lives on in each of her many loved ones.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, with Bobby Gilbert officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
