Gianopoulos, Soula Artaemisi
Soula Artaemisi Gianopoulos, 93, of Pulaski passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born on June 15, 1928, in Chryssou, Evrytanias, Greece. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Roanoke, and of its Ladies Philoptochos Society.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, John “Mike” Gianopoulos; daughter Patricia Gianopoulos; her parents; and several sisters and brothers in Greece.
Surviving are her sons, John Gianopoulos his wife Marge of Newburgh, Indiana, Jimmy Gianopoulos and his wife Kelly of Mooresville, North Carolina and Phillip Gianopoulos and his wife Jackee of Pulaski; grandchildren Michael Gianopoulos (Sally), AJ Gianopoulos, Sarah Gianopoulos (Dan), Elias Gianopoulos, Lexia Gianopoulos and great grandsons John Gianopoulos and Liam Gianopoulos; sister, Elizabeth Constantinidou, of Kifissia, Greece; beloved nieces and nephews; and special friend Freda Bryne.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday February 21, 2022, at Seagle Funeral Home, Pulaski with Father Nikolas Galanopoulos officiating. Interment will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery. Visiting will be Sunday, February 20, from 6 to 8 pm, at which time a Trisagion service will be held at 7 pm.
In lieu of Flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Huntington Blvd NE, Roanoke, VA 24012.
