Geokas, Wilma Jean King Walker

Wilma Jean King Walker Geokas of Radford, went to join her heavenly family on July 25, 2011, surrounded by her loving earthly family. Wilma was born July 31, 1934, in Greenbrier, Tennessee to the late Lewis George King and Maude Keller King. Wilma was also preceded in death by her son, Johnnie Edward (Buddy) Walker Jr.; brother, Stanley King; and sister, Kathleen King Sheppard. Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Lewis (Corkey) and Debbie Walker, of Orlando, Fla.; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Walker Spann and Thomas Spann, of North Carolina, and Francine Geokas Kingrea, of Radford. Grandchildren (the joy of her life) include Steven Ball, wife, Sara Ball, of Radford, Kimberly Walker Allen, husband, Steve Allen and Jordan Smith, of North Carolina; greatgrandsons, Zack Allen and Ryan Allen; special nephew, J.D. Smith, wife, Peggy Smith; special friend and “adopted granddaughter”, Abby Hudgins; special friend, Cheryl Barrett. Wilma was a member of Radford Worship Center with many, many friends there. She enjoyed going to church and volunteered for many years in the food bank at the church. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2011, 10 to 11 a.m. at Radford Worship Center. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
