Gearheart, Eva Buckner

Eva Buckner Gearheart, 89, of Christiansburg, Va., went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday February 13, 2011. The daughter to the late Presley and Eura Buckner, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Basil Randolph Gearheart.

She is survived by her stepson and daughterin-law, Randall and Margaret (Lilly) Gearheart, of Blue Ridge, Va.; one stepgrandson, Anthony Gearheart, of Lynchburg, Va.; sister, Ida Thompson; brother-in-law and his wife, Robert M. and his wife, Margaret Dowdy Gearheart, of Christiansburg; nephew, Robert D. Gearheart; and many other nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, from The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
