Raymond “Philip” Gaylord, 86 of Sinking Creek (Hoges Chapel) departed this life November 3, 2021 in the care of Invova Loudoun Hospital after a long illness. Born September 27, 1935, he was a son of heart of the late Anna and Walter Hutchinson of Clover Hollow (Newport).

Philip practiced his faith at Kingdom Hall-Blacksbsurg. He worked faithfully as a machinist at Fairchild Industries.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are a brother, John Gaylord (Wilma)of Malden, Illinois; a sister, Katie Oliver of Arizona; best friend, Wade Lafon; special friends whom he loved dearly, Betty Thomas, and Lori Porterfield; his caregiver and companion, Jessie Midkiff; and many friends and family.

At Philip’s request, there will be no public services. His cremated remains will be laid to rest at the Clover Hollow Cemetery-Newport. A guest book is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to be serving the Gaylord family.
