Gayhardt, Hava Ruth Lam

Hava Ruth Lam Gayhardt, 79, of Winterville, N.C., died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at her residence. Born August 24, 1927 in Floyd, Va., a daughter of the late James Thomas Lam and Hava Hylton Lam.

In addition to her parents, Hava was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Thomas Gayhardt; and two sisters, Evelyn Lam Stanley and Zera Lam Hodakowski.

Hava is survived by two sons, Douglas Wayne Gayhardt and Jams Edgar Gayhardt, both of North Carolina; three daughters, Francis Ruth Gayhardt and Wanda Elizabeth Best both of North Carolina and Gloria Elaine Johnston and her husband, Buddy of Bedford; one brother, Douglas M. Lam and his wife, Barbara of Blue Ridge; three sisters, Elsie Lam Jones of Bedford, Gladys Lam Falls of Montvale and Verda Lam Falls of Colonial Heights; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreatgrandchildren.

Graveside services will conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Walnut Grove Union Church Cemetery with the Rev. George W. Stewart officiating.
