Thomas Wayne Gautier, Sr., 70 of Narrows, went to be with his loving wife on Saturday, November 15, 2014. He was born in Giles County on July 4, 1944 and was the son of the late Walter Lee and Virginia Rose Hale Gautier. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 45 years, Linda Marie Bales Gautier.

He was a retired employee of Radford Army Ammunition Plant with 40 years of service, and an employee of Narrows Quick Lube and Car Wash. He loved farming, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, spending mornings with his friends at Burger King in Narrows and Chandler Concrete, but mostly his family.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Thomas W. Gautier, Jr. and wife Sharon, and Jody Lee Gautier and wife Billie Jean; two special granddaughters that he loved dearly, McKinna Day and husband Josh of Ripplemead, and Savannah Gautier of Narrows; three brothers, James (Jimmy) and Mary Gautier of Narrows, Jerry and Sandy Gautier of Pembroke, Richard and Angie Gautier of Pearisburg; three sisters, Frances Epling of Pearisburg, Janice and Wayne Collins of Shawsville, Joyce Kiger of Pearisburg; a step-sister, Irene Boyd of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends, including a very special pet bird, Stanley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church in Narrows with Rev. Jason Stubblefield and Pastor Tony Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gautier Family Cemetery on Fletcher Mountain Road near Narrows. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church Wednesday from 11 AM until just prior to the service.
