Gautier, Harry Green

Harry Green (H.G.) Gautier, 77, of Narrows, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on September 17, 1932, and was the son of the late Harvey Green and Janey Dorothy Lucas Gautier. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a son, Harry Dewayne Gautier; two brothers, Edward Lee Gautier and Bobby Ray (Roby) Gautier. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with 36 years service. But more importantly, H.G. was a caring husband, a loving father and a dear friend to many. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Madeline Carol Blankenship Gautier; a daughter, Harriett Shrader, of Narrows; a grandson, Anthony D. Gautier, of Bland; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends. The family wishes to thank Donnie Shrader and Lucy for all their compassion, and a special thanks to Uncle Gary Blankenship and Michael Brown for all their love and support. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the North Narrows Tabernacle of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Narrows with Pastor Paul Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
