Gardner, Margaret Scott

Margaret Scott Gardner, 89, of Blacksburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born in Texla, Texas on December 3, 1925 the daughter of the late Ray M. Scott and Kathleen W. Scott.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years H. Cherry Gardner, her two brothers Ray M. Scott Jr. and Bruce Whitman Scott and her sister Jean Scott Strickland.

She graduated from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, with a degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her two sons Larry (Holly) and Ralph (Lorene) and her daughter Cherry Pelt (Randy). Also surviving are four grandchildren Hilary Arnaud (Jared), Ralph Jr., Mallory Powell and Lee and two great grandchildren Hunter Powell and Avery Arnaud.

Graveside services will be private and she will be interred at the Eastview Cemetery in Adairsville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested memorials be made to The Neuropathy Association, 60 East 42nd Street, Ste. 942, New York, NY 10165 or the MPD Foundation, 180 N.
