Gardner, Howard Daniel

Howard Daniel (Danny) Gardner, 53, of Radford, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Danny graduated from Radford High School in 1978, and began work at Volvo Trucks where he retired after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Howard Gardner; and aunt, Nancy Gardner Stewart. Survivors include his devoted sons, Christopher and Jason Gardner; grandchildren, Landon and Kaybree Gardner; mother, Mary Ann Gardner; brother, Timothy Gardner, of Atlanta, Ga.; mother of his children, Cindy H. Carroll; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Fire Department, the Pulaski Fire Department, or Calvary Baptist Church Mission Fund.
