Gardner, Darrell Barnett

Darrell Barnett Gardner, 67, of Pulaski passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born September 26, 1946 to Nellie Alderman Gardner, and the late Barnett W. Gardner.

Darrell retired from Xaloy after 45 years of service. He served many years as a board member, and deacon at Heritage Assembly of God in Dublin.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Passmore Gardner; sons, Rick and Jeff Gardner; granddaughters, Kayla and Alyssa; grandsons, Andrew, Brock, and Trent. Also surviving are his sisters, Irma Gardner of Fries and Imogene Porter and husband Danny, of Pulaski, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and neighbors.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Heritage Church, 6195 Cleburne Blvd., Dublin, VA. with Pastor Ron Blevins, and brother-in-law Doyle Passmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. from the Heritage Church.
